The 9th grade dogs faced off in the PV Tournament Championship vs. Marlow.
The dogs came out to an extremely slow start. They had zero field goals made in the first half and at the conclusion of the half they were down 6 to 17. The dogs came out in the second half motivated to make a run and get back in the game. They outscored Marlow 21 to 13 in the second half, and they got back in the game with an opportunity to win in the end. It still wasn’t enough, and they ultimately lost the game by 3.
“Marlow was a good team. Anytime you play a good team and only have one good half you are likely going to come out on the losing end. I was proud of how we responded with the half time adjustments, and we came out and made it a close game. It was tough because it was our first loss of the season. All in all, we improved as a team, and we played hard and together the entire tournament. That is all I can ask for as a coach, and I am proud to be the coach of this group of young men.”
